I have been collecting Topps baseball cards since I was a kid. I created this site to share my favorite cards from my collection and all of the wax packs I bust. I will also be commenting on my thoughts about card collecting and baseball.
This blog is for collectors of Topps baseball cards
Pack Break - 2008 Topps Heritage
- Mark Derosa
- Jon Garland
- Lastings Milledge
- Ryan Church
- Matt Garza (black box back)
- Steve Pearce (topps news)
- Casey Blake (not scanned)
- Young & Zimmerman (not scanned)
How many cards in the pack? 8
How many packs have I busted so far? 7
What was the cost of the pack? 2.50 (from a hobby box)
Design? I really enjoy the original 1959 series and the style of these cards. The thick stock and non gloss finish are great. I think that some of the photography looks a bit too digitized. But alot of the photography is perfect. The backs are classic and the cartoons are a nice touch. I hope I’m still alive when they do the 2056 Topps Heritage set based on the 2007 series (of course I would be 85 years old).
Inserts/Hits? I am not impressed with the black box back short prints. I like the “News”, ”Flashback” and “Baseball Thrills” cards. I think I have gotten one Chrome (which should not be in this set) and no relics or autographs so far. I will say though that I am not opening this product for inserts or hits. I am just really enjoying the base cards.

Wow, you got four cards in that pack with players Photoshopped into their new uniforms. That’s interesting.
Do you trade? I’d love to get the Matt Garza (black box back)
from you…
