I have been collecting Topps baseball cards since I was a kid. I created this site to share my favorite cards from my collection and all of the wax packs I bust. I will also be commenting on my thoughts about card collecting and baseball.
This blog is for collectors of Topps baseball cards
2008 Topps - Stadium Club
Topps resurrected the Stadium Club line this year after many blogs requested it. The base set has 200 cards covering 150 different players. They included autographs, relics, printing plates and sketch cards. Parallel cards include veteran first day issue, platinum photographers proof, gold photographers proof and regular photographers proof. While the cards look great, the price is pretty expensive. I ordered a retail box, which I will start opening tomorrow. Let’s look at what you get for your money:
$165 per hobby box
12 packs per box
1 autograph per pack (half rookies)
1 Yankee stadium relic card per box
1 parallel per pack

New Product - 2008 Topps Co-Signers
I should be getting my hobby box of Co-Signers tonight. I am hoping that the edges are not as fragile as last year. Last year over half of my cards had damage to the silver edges. Tomorrow I will post my first pack break of it. Here are some details you may or may not have heard.
Autographs:
They have 4, 3, 2 and 1 signature cards
The 4 signature (Quad) are book style
There are also Cowhide Cards featuring 1 current player and 1 legendary player
Boxing Autographed Cards, either quad, tri, co or single
Every pack has 5 base cards and 1 autograph or parallel card
Every box has 1 Dual autograph and 2 single autograph cards and 9 parallel cards
Base Cards:
There are 115 base cards, 75 veterans, 25 rookies
15 of the base cards are autographed rookies
Parallel Cards:
All of the base cards will have parallels such as Silver, Gold, Green, Blue, Bronze, and Red and they come in two flavors Hyper Plaid or Silver.
There will be at least 700 printing plates.

New Product - 2008 Topps Opening Day
I opened a couple boxes of the 2007 Opening Day, and it was alright. The 2008 design looks pretty cool. My favorite part of these cards is the $.99 per pack. That is a great way to bring kids into the hobby. Did anybody else open any of the 2007? The one autograph per case seems a little lean to me. Thanks to GCX Online for the image below. I am curious about the “Flapper” cards. The puzzle pieces have never interested me, I have a shoe box full of nothing but puzzle cards from over the years. I usually let my son play with them. The inclusion of the printing plates is cool, I have never pulled a plate from a pack.
